SkyClass Aviation, initially founded on December 1st 1999, is a professional Air Charter operator with its own fleet of VIP, Corporate business jets. Johannesburg is considered the Air Transport hub of Southern Africa and caters for over 17 million passengers per year. SkyClass operates 3 core divisions. SkyExec (Corporate/Business VIP Air Charter), SkyClassic (operator of DC-3's and DC-4′s in South Africa), and SkyHeavy (catering for all cargo requirement)

The VIP division of SkyClass is the Executive Charter Division (ECD). It is composed of a modern fleet and comprises of a Lear Jet 45XR, Bombardier Challenger 300 and a King Air 200. Each business jets are configured for executive, V-VIP travel with a seating arrangement for 8 passengers on board. SkyClass is a Class II / Part 121 and Part 135 certified operator with A1,A2 and A3 category certification (CAA-2012). Additionally, it holds an N1 and N4 International Air Service License to cater for both domestic and International charter requirements.

Founded in 2006, SkyClassic was formed with the intent to preserve the vintage South African Airline (SAA) fleet and operate it as a private entity to manage the assets of the South African Historic Flight. Since its inception, it has undergone a change of ownership from the South African Airways Museum Society (SAAMS) and is now a fully-fledged charter and aviation company focused on providing unparalleled nostalgic aviation experience.
The Classic Airline Charter Division fleet consist of two Douglas DC-3s (up to 26 seats premium economy), and two Douglas DC-4 ′Skymaster′ (50 business class seats) for passenger charters. In addition, the DC-4s are exclusively configured with business class seating arrangement and spacious full height interiors.
Powered by four Pratt & Whitney R2000 radial piston engines, ZS-AUB and ZS-BMH are two of the very few passenger-licensed Douglas DC-4 Skymaster′s operating in the world today and are great favorites in the Africa Fly-in tourism industry, venturing as far as North America and Europe. The DC-4′s range of over 3000 km puts it in easy reach of exotic destinations such as Central and East Africa as well as many of the spectacular tropical islands in the Indian Ocean.
Equally impressive are the DC-3s with their premium economy seats for extra legroom and comfort that officially classify SkyClass as the largest classic airline operator in the world.
For the future the Junkers Ju-52 is planned to take part in the active fleet.
Popular destinations and holidays include National and Private game parks within and outside of South Africa, sporting weekends, corporate trips, flying safaris to such exotic places as the Victoria Falls, Chobe Game Lodge, the Islands off Mozambique and beyond up into Northern and Eastern Africa and Zanzibar.
